Our journey began with a standout creation: a miniature film set inspired by Wong Kar Wai’s film “Happy Together,” winning hearts and acclaim. This propelled us to craft miniature film sets of iconic films like “The Godfather,” “Rouge,” “Single Papa,” and “Avatar,” infusing them with vibrancy. A remarkable achievement came in 2023 with our solo exhibition, “Miniature Behind the Scenes: REVISIT,” at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Gene Ma
Graduated from MA Theatre Design at University of the Arts London, Gene has over 10 years of experience in the creative industry, specializing in film, TV, and theatre productions. He has actively participated in over 30 projects, showcasing his versatile talents across a range of roles, including Production Designer, Stage Designer, Diorama Artist, and Director. Collaborating with Hong Kong Design Gallery, South China Morning Post, Team Wang, Milkway Image, and more, Gene is an adaptable communicator for different roles and responsibilities.
With a keen eye for detail and a comprehensive understanding of the creative process through prior engagements, he decided to establish DUO SCENE in 2020, consistently delivering exceptional work and productions. Gene's passion and expertise are rooted in spatial design, allowing him to explore the relationship between humans and their surrounding spaces in depth.
